Joe Rogan & Dana White On The Rise Of Paddie “The Baddie” Pimblett

Joe Rogan and Dana White talk us through the highlights leading up to Pimblett’s latest career showstopping finish to date. The rising newcomer made his UFC debut in late 2021 with a ton of hype around him from coming in as the lightweight champ for Europe’s wildly popular, Cage Warriors promotion. He’s only two fights into his UFC career, unranked, and already one of UFC’s biggest rising stars.

Paddie’s an exciting finisher with both knockout and submission power. He’s won both of his UFC fights via first-round finishes, coming by way of a knockout and a rear-naked choke submission. His dangerous Jui-Jitsu and knockout power are what make him so exciting to watch, especially combined with his skills on the mic and interview commentary.

He famously called out Instagram and demanded that they return his account and referred to them as a “bunch of lizards” when asked who he wanted to fight next during a post-fight win interview. Paddie’s performance at UFC London last month was another showstopper. Not only was it a sold-out show but he received such a huge response from the crowd that he could have easily headlined the event.

It’s very rare for a  new UFC fighter to be able to both sell out and command a stadium on just their second fight into their UFC career. Paddie’s on a meteoric rise that’s been drawing comparisons to Conor McGregor’s journey from a UFC newcomer to massive stardom in the UFC. Listen to Joe Rogan and Dana White discuss the phenomena that is Paddie “The Paddie” Pimblett and what his quick rise to the top means for his future and the UFC.
