Wow! Watch Rami Malek Dazzle as Freddie Mercury in First ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Trailer

Channeling Freddie Mercury is no easy feat, but the new trailer for “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the forthcoming biopic of the singer and Queen, the legendary British group he fronted, confirms that “Mr. Robot” star Rami Malek is one of the best possible candidates for the job.

Glam costumes, ’70s shaggy hair, insults hurled at record executives, the 1985 Live Aid concert and opulent mansion parties fly by in the teaser clip — illustrating a lush tapestry on a film rocked by controversy after the studio fired director Bryan Singer last fall due to sexual assault of a minor allegations and replaced him with Dexter Fletcher.

There’s also plenty of hits jammed in here, including “Killer Queen,” and the “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and “We Will Rock You” foot-stomping mashup that will have you feeling like Rocky Balboa running stairs.

The trailer presents lots of recreated concert footage scenes but how the film will handle more delicate moments — such as Mercury’s realization that he was gay, and the group’s adamant denials that the singer was suffering from AIDS even up until his death of complications from the disease in 1991 — remains to be seen, but the trailer sizzles and lures you in with anticipation.

The film was produced by Graham King, among many others including most notably, Robert De Niro. It co-stars Mike Meyers, Lucy Boynton and “Game of Thrones” ‘Littlefinger’ star, Aidan Gillen.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” hits theaters on November 2.
