Machine Gun Kelly Fires Off New Diss Track In Response To Eminem’s Latest Release
Machine Gun Kelly dropped a fiery new single, “Rap Devil” in response to Eminem’s latest album, Kamikazee that attacked the young gunner rapper on its lead track.
“When your idols become your rivals.”
We knew it was only a matter of time before the hip-hop community started responding to Eminem‘s disses about them through their own records. Michael Rapaport, long respected for not just for his comedic acting chops but also for his outspoken love of hip-hop, was unimpressed with the lack of responses Em received for calling them out by name on his new Kamikaze album.
It appeared that everyone Em did mention, were too busy celebrating on Instagram being mentioned by Em-even with the diss. Machine Gun Kelly finally put down the champagne bottle to fire back at Eminem with the impromptu release of his latest single, “Rap Devil.”
Kells comes through with some scorching fire, dropping references about Em’s former records and everyone from his past including Dre, Rihanna, Diddy- to even bringing back some lines about the man’s daughter Hailie and saying that Shady hides behind security and that the new album simply came because he’s “sober and bored,”
MGK tells Em to man up and handle his shit, insisting he get over comments that were made six years ago and to stop acting like a child about it-even referencing Em’s behavior to Oscar the Crouch from the classic children’s show, Sesame Street.
We can’t lie. Kel pulls off some impressive lines that are humorously insulting but he also drops duds that fall short for being more like observations than actual disses. like “Ayy, somebody grab him some clippers/His fuckin’ beard is weird.” and “About to be 46 years old, dog.” or “How could I even look up to you/You ain’t as tall as me/5’8″ and I’m 6’4”
At the end of the day, we know disses in hip-hop today are more for entertainment than actual beef between two rappers. There’s no denying the talent of both of these two, so we’re just going to sit back and enjoy the new music that this “beef” inspires from these two great artists.
Do you think Eminem is going to respond with a final blow that will send Machine Gun Kelly’s career to an early grave?
