New Music: Eli Paperboy, ‘Holiday’
Eli Paperboy Reed dropped a roaring new single, ‘Holiday’ from his forthcoming album, 99 Cent Dreams due out April 12th.
New music is out from soul Crooner Eli Paperboy Reed. Reed dropped his new single “Holiday”, from his upcoming album 99 cent dreams. Reed has been putting on new music since the beginning of the year to promote his new record’s release set to drop on Record Store Day on April 12th.
His new single, “Holiday” is everything we love Paperboy for. It’s old-time soul music channeled through a young white boy from Brooklyn who grew up on the Chess Records artist-turned-preacher, Mitty Collier records, and Memphis juke joints.
The new album already has a lot of buzz surrounding it. They recorded it in Memphis at the iconic Sam Phillips Recording studio with acclaimed young producer Matt Ross-Spang (Margo Price, Jason Isbell) and features background vocals from legendary Memphis vocal group The Masqueraders.
Eli Paperboy Reed makes feel good music with soul. You can’t help but feel something-sometimes it’s the pain of a lost love or in this case, it’s the joyous celebration of a holiday.
