The Marcus King Band Kicks Off U.S. Tour With New March Dates

Rising star and young blues guitarist, Markus King and his band, The Marcus King Band announced new tour dates for March. The six-piece group will focus on the south with stops at SXSW and on the east coast from Florida to NY and the surrounding area.

King has been making a name for himself for the past few years as the next upcoming young blues guitar slinger. Even though King is barely in his 20s, he’s got an old soul and seems to channel the spirit of Dwayne Allman with his raspy, southern vocals.

It doesn’t take over three seconds of Marcus opening his mouth to sing to realize that you are witnessing a legend in the making.  If you’ve got a list of bucket list of concerts to see this year, add the Marcus King Band to it.

Marcus King appeared on a recent episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Even Colbert appears to know that he’s witnessing a legend in the making perform. Check out his performance of “Carolina Confessions”.
