Tom Morello’s upcoming solo album The Atlas Underground, out October 12, comes in a political climate overwhelmed, again, by the same urgency that inspired the radical leftist politics behind his band Rage Against The Machine. With people finally catching up, Morello is aspiring to create the sounds of the future with his new album. It includes collaborations with Vic Mensa, Big Boi, Killer Mike, Portugal. The Man, Gary Clark Junior, Steve Aoki, and many more.

Today, Morello has shared “Lucky One,” a new track harkening back to the days of Rage, with the exception of the celestial vocals from K. Flay, a likeminded rapper, and rock musician. Watch a behind-the-scenes video featuring the two artists discuss how privilege, and their own experiences with it, informed the song’s direction.
