Local Chicago Emo Rapper Enters the Charts..Three Times
Chicago Alternative Hip-Hop artist, Juice Wrld is having a great summer. Like a really, really great summer. Right as his breakout single, “Lucid World,” climbs its way to #61 of Pandora’s Top Spins Chart, Juice Wrld continues to be a Pandora Trendsetter 25 weeks in a row by maintaining his #1 position on Pandora’s Trendsetters Chart. Juice WRLD debuted on the Pandora Trendsetters Chart in late April at #11 after seeing over 3,400 artist station adds. In just seven weeks, the rapper climbed to the #1 position and has been steadily holding it ever since.
This month compared to last month, the Chicago rapper has seen a 50% increase in artist station adds and an 85% increase in spins, and his video for the Te Bote Remix has gotten over 675 million views in just two months–all this with little to no airplay on radio.
Juice WRLD revealed two tribute songs this week for the fallen rap idol, XXX Tenacion titled “Legends” and “Rich and Blind.” Expect both songs to be on heavy rotation as he’s already accumulated over 178 million streams on his “Lucid Dreams” single alone on Spotify, in addition to over 21 million monthly listeners on the streaming service.
