Must Watch: Denzel Curry Nails Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls on Parade” Cover
Curry crosses over into the world of rock and it is a reckoning
I have always enjoyed Denzel Curry for being left of center and intense. He’s not your typical millennial trap or mumble rapper. There’re depths to his musicality and quirky personality. His 2018 album, TA1300 was a showcase of versatility and raw energy, however, nothing could have mesmerized me more than Clout Cobain rapper’s latest release, which sees him boldly and fiercely crossing over into 90s alternative rock.
For his session for triple j’s Like a Version cover series, Curry boldly takes on “Bulls on Parade”, the 1996 hit from Rage Against the Machine. It’s an unusual choice for Curry. I had no idea he was into Rage Against the Machine. But wow, I’m impressed. He had the , Zack de la Rocha intensity and all-even the howls and screams. Bad Ass. It’s left me craving more and hoping that he gets a side hustle going with a rock band.
